A new book by Arthur Nelsen about the meaning of being Palestinian, including interviews with Palestinians from all walks of life, has just been published. ‘In Your Eyes a Sandstorm’ begins with an account from Bisan and Ahmed, two traumatised children from Jenin Refugee Camp and from there the book’s narrative arcs backwards through the generations to come full circle with two elderly refugees from villages that the children were named after. You can read a detailed summary of the book here.
Arthur will be speaking about his book at a Waltham Forest Palestine Solidarity Campaign event on Monday 21st November at Hornbeam Centre, 458 Hoe Street, Walthamstow, London. The event begins at 7.30pm and can be found on Facebook and on their website
